Why does Seth decide to "give up Judaism" after the fallout of Camp Gugelstein? By having sex with Seth, does Mona think it will revive the "old Seth" and remind him that the failure of Camp Gugelstein shouldn't impact his Jewishness? Why does she have sex with him, if she decides to break up with him shortly after?
"A most unexpected turn of events: Seth develops a fixation... He did jump off the roof, though, saying that he hoped she got the reference to a well-known Russian play involving a cherry orchard." (224-225)
